If my test results are high without supplementation, does that mean I do not need to add NO supplementation?

Yes, if an individual shows optimal nitric oxide (NO) levels on the salivary test strip, supplementation may not be necessary. Testing multiple times a day may reveal patterns of nitric oxide production. If low nitric oxide status is suspected even after a positive salivary strip test, asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) blood testing may offer a more precise assessment. ADMA levels are inversely correlated with nitric oxide production systemically, rather than using the mouth as a proxy.
