What do the color changes indicate?
Our 2-in-1 nitric oxide salivary test strips uniquely have two tabs:
Nitrite test (lower tab): The color ranges from white to light cranberry to dark cranberry, correlating with the concentration of nitrite in the saliva. This reflects nitric oxide (NO) availability in the body.
Nitrate test (upper tab): The color reflects the amount of prebiotic nitrate present in the mouth. If a nitrate-rich meal was recently consumed, this tab may appear bright while the lower tab remains lighter, as the nitrates have not yet circulated and converted to nitrites.
