What is a postbiotic?

A healthy microbiome ferments prebiotics to produce compounds that cross into the blood and trigger systemic, beneficial effects. A postbiotic directly delivers those beneficial compounds to the gut, without needing digestion or colonization of the gastrointestinal tract. Delivered directly with no live organisms, more stable and microbiome-independent than probiotics.
